Real work. Measurable operational value.
AI agents built around how physical-economy businesses actually operate
Nurona helps companies grow revenue, accelerate cash, and reduce operational risk by connecting their data, systems, business rules, and people.
From freight-network growth to order-to-cash automation and supply-chain planning, each deployment starts with a specific workflow and expands from there.
Logistics · Midsize U.S. freight brokerage and agent network
From manual cold calling to an always-on freight-network growth engine
The challenge
A four-person sales team relied primarily on outbound phone calls to recruit freight agents and carrier partners. Prospect data was fragmented, follow-up was inconsistent, and conversion was difficult because many carriers already had more business than they could handle.
The team needed to identify the right prospects, approach them with a relevant message, and engage them without dramatically increasing sales headcount.
What Nurona built
- Combined government records, professional-network data, and private datasets into one lead pipeline
- Enriched and scored more than two million carrier profiles
- Applied 10 customer-defined scoring factors based on the brokerage team’s historical operating knowledge
- Continuously updated scores as underlying data and engagement signals changed
- Generated personalized, multi-step email outreach for each prospect
- Used an AI agent to respond, answer questions, qualify interest, and continue the conversation
- Synchronized outreach activity and qualified prospects with HubSpot
- Handed the conversation to a human salesperson once the prospect showed sufficient positive intent
Business impact
Nurona converted a finite, phone-driven sales process into a targeted, continuously operating growth channel. Because each successful agent or carrier relationship has significant lifetime value, the customer began seeing ROI within the first month.
Logistics · RFQ-to-booked load automation
From RFQ to booked load, with pricing tied to realized value
Nurona automates the complete RFQ workflow—from sourcing capacity and negotiating rates to compliance verification and load booking. The agent first contacts carriers with whom the brokerage already has a relationship, while simultaneously posting the load to DAT and managing new inbound responses.
For each load, the agent evaluates carrier relationship history, carrier type, compliance status, shipper profile, lane economics, and target margin. Customer-specific business rules determine how different carriers and shippers are treated.
In one deployment, the agent began booking loads in the second week and reached 5× ROI by the third month. Pricing is tied to successfully booked loads, aligning Nurona’s fees directly with realized customer value.
Finance · U.S. healthcare-device manufacturer
Turning fragmented order documents into invoice-ready transactions
The challenge
The manufacturer’s order-to-cash process depended on information arriving through purchase orders, receipts, case documentation, emails, and ERP records. Documents could be scanned, handwritten, incomplete, or inconsistent with ERP records.
Incorrect customer information, missing purchase orders, and unmatched transactions delayed invoicing and created the risk of revenue leakage. Sensitive healthcare information also required tightly controlled data access and auditability.
What Nurona built
- Ingests purchase orders, receipts, scanned documents, handwritten forms, and email attachments
- Extracts and structures customer, product, quantity, pricing, and order information
- Resolves extracted data against customer, distributor, product, and sales-order records
- Matches incoming purchase orders and receipts to sales orders in the existing Macola ERP
- Applies the manufacturer’s business-specific verification and matching rules
- Detects missing documents, incorrect identifiers, duplicate records, pricing differences, and quantity mismatches
- Routes unresolved cases into a human exception queue with the relevant evidence
- Writes approved information back to the ERP and tracks each transaction through payment
Business impact
The workflow gives finance and operations teams one view of which orders are ready to invoice, which are blocked, and exactly what is preventing completion. It is an execution workflow that moves transactions toward invoicing and cash while maintaining a complete decision and action trail.
Supply chain · European hardware retailer and distributor
From spreadsheet planning to proactive inventory intelligence
The challenge
The company manages a broad catalog of hardware products across multiple markets, locations, and supplier relationships. Planning depended heavily on spreadsheet analysis and manual reviews of ERP data.
The ERP recorded transactions, but it did not give planners an effective way to answer:
- Where is demand beginning to increase?
- Which supplier delays could create a future stockout?
- Where is inventory becoming excessive or slow-moving?
- Which branches, customers, or orders will be affected?
- What action should the team take now?
What Nurona built
Through Plantryx, Nurona added a planning, intelligence, and action layer above the existing ERP.
- Connected historical sales, open orders, inventory, supplier, purchase-order, and product data
- Generated demand forecasts by product, location, and planning horizon
- Allowed planners to review, override, comment on, and approve forecasts with a complete audit trail
- Monitored demand changes, supplier delays, projected stockouts, excess inventory, and unhealthy inventory positions
- Traced the downstream effect on locations, customer demand, service levels, and working capital
- Identified likely root causes rather than showing only the symptom
- Recommended mitigating actions such as expediting, deferring, substituting, reallocating, or adjusting the plan
- Prioritized a focused set of high-value issues rather than overwhelming planners with low-value alerts
Business impact
The planning team can move from backward-looking spreadsheet reviews to earlier, exception-driven decision-making. The ERP remains the system of record. Plantryx becomes the intelligence and action layer.
